Steck-Cooper & Co. is an independently owned and operated insurance agency located in Belleville, IL. We have proudly served individuals and businesses in the St. Louis metro area since 1905 and continue to offer our services throughout Illinois and Missouri statewide.

Our History
The Steck Insurance Agency, located in Alton, IL, was founded in 1905 by Joseph Steck and later managed by his son Harry Steck. In February 1969, O. Linn Cooper purchased the agency and changed the name to Steck-Cooper & Company. E.J. Uhlemeyer became associated with the agency in 1972 and eventually purchased the agency in 1977. Terry Hoefle and Dave Wager purchased the agency in 1989 and relocated to Belleville, IL, in 1992.
In 2015 the agency was purchased by its current owners, Matt Hoefle and Andrew Allen. Matt and Andrew have both been with the agency for almost 20 years. They plan to continue the tradition of service as well as focus on modernization and expansion of the agency.
